On a different note, how is Channaxi pronounced? Is that ‘ch’ as in church, or as in Bach? I’ve been mentally pronouncing it variably as “CHA-na-ksee” and “SHA-na-ksee”.
Then again, I also do “e-KU-nay” and “e-SHU-nay” for Echune, and I always go with “CHA-lt” for Chalt, so I dunno.
Good point Amerchra. I can’t recall if how the languages on this world work was ever explained. Obviously our alphabet will be used. Course working that out will take a heroic amount of effort for any world builder XD
chah-NAK-see (or chah-NOK-see if you talk all fancy–Corva does not)
eh-CHOON (sounds like a sneeze). The race are the CHOO-nee.
CHALT (Who is John Chalt?)
While we’re at it, VAZ-gul, ez-GAH-vee, NAM-mah-thar, PAH-dree, BAHL-too BECK-an (but the region–the veldt where the psychic dinosaur-people come from–is the bahl-TOO), mah-HET-ee, CHAYM-soo, kah-BOR-ee, OOL-en-ite (or YOOL-en-ite if you talk all fancy–the moon is OOL but many people say oo-LAY).
And: vah-RAK-soo-naks, NAHK-soo-ahn-ahn, ar-KOE-an, kah-WOO-nay, TOO-soo, dah-roo-MAH-thah, BEHR-eh-bon (sounds like “bearer bonds,” not like “give us Barabbas”). Vish should be VEESH but who has time for that?
And I’m guessing…ZEE-liks, ah-MEK-rah, and…TRAY? Or is it ZAY-liks?
I’ve been a little off on a lot of them. For example, BAHR-uhb-boh with the last syllable like the French good. But of course a Vish out of water.
So I’m going to say thank you for the pronunciation guide. -KLIPH
Corva looks like her head nearly entirely was burnt to a crisp there.
Now can she win this bout of Sibling wrassling?
KABOOM!
Or is that more of a KER-ZIIT-PAWAWAWAW?

Wooh, got most of the ones that I didn’t ask about right! (I did mess up Barabbon, though.)
And you got my name right, at least.
