I’m in the final stages of editing another novel, which consists of removing unnecessary adverbs. My brain is mush. Please…so many adverbs…why won’t they leave me alone?
Next up: the passive voice.
“You’re just a scared asshole” is a really great description of Dosh’s unintentional villainy (and a really great motive, too!).
And good luck with the novel editing!
And herein a question, when the sands have run out, and your sheepish following of orders has led you to monstrosity. If you are offered salvation by more obedience, do you continue to follow? Or grab that backup Sword and make the wrong choice for self-determined reasons?
You follow in hopes somehow you can find a path that will lead to salvation for being a cowardly dick. Nothing wrong with admitting your not a leader. Few people actually have the qualities to be leaders, much less good ones. Dosh prolly did thesecond bravest thing he could. Admit he doesn’t have it in him to be the King he was pretending he was. The first bravest thing will be to continue down the path he is being shown even should it lead to personal disaster(and who here thinks it will lead to not having to face down Maresh or something more terrible?).
