There’s a deadline?
There’s a deadline?
Also, it’s fun watching Anthem unable to cope.
I just had a strange thought. If Tamantha was designed to punish the wicked by making them mad, what would happen if its creator acted in a fashion that was, according to Tamantha, wicked? Would he go mad? Because that would be utterly terrifying. It would be like the opposite of a self-repair function, but applied to an entire universe.

Good point Curious George! I have often wondered if the Gods, and Gurahl in specific, could be or are being affected by Tamantha. Might explain his own behavior if he made it before he started with the genocides. He was hoisted by his own petard.
Panel 5 is beautiful; I want it on a shirt.
Also, I just thought about the worst twist; what if the last chain binding Okidesha was the very cycle of Tamantha? That would actually seem awfully appropriate to me.
After all, let’s take a look at what the other chains were:
– Releasing the Titan from its agony/imprisonment broke the normal system and cycle of alchemy production.
– The Yiggish Science will break the Yigs out of their societal rut and force them into a brave new future.
– The Banks of Tam Ruat was a cycle of insane dragons in a detente; killing all of them (and letting Okidesha remake the city in her image) definitely broke that cycle.
– Darumatha… isn’t a cycle, as such. However, let’s take a look at their epiphet: “The Demon-Dragon of Broken Hours”. I’ve held a theory for a while that the currency it was “born” from was in fact time itself; in other words, Darumatha would be a being built out of wasted time.
Every single chain has been related to a cycle or system in some way (Darumatha in a more figurative sense than the rest, admittedly); therefor, why wouldn’t Okidesha’s 5th chain be Tamantha itself?
Interesting thoughts, Amechra, but that would be pretty tough for our heroes. “Chicken-and-egg tough”, actually, since the whole point of freeing Okidesha is that SHE can then break down the otherwise unbreakable Tamantha.
