I thought the whole point of freeing Okidesha was so the goddess could blow Tamantha away like the useless maddening obsolete law it is.
Another thing since the Anthem we see here is essentially a copy of the original one is she still considered “damned” by Tamantha for her earlier actions: http://www.waterphoenixking.com/comic/volume-07-page-03
or maybe that’s moot point since I guess the original is now a part of Okidesha and the copy simply cease to exist when she dies since Okidesha is propping her mind up.
1) While Okidesha is now free and fully divine, whatever power she has to harm Tamantha is tied up in the fifth and final chain that binds her power. So far only Anthem has shown any facility with manipulating Tamantha, and as we can see, it’s imperfect. (The mushroom grove deserves special mention–it still reads as a part of “Very Far Away,” meaning that wyrds [and Ulenites?] can hang around there–that will eventually change as Tamantha “realizes” that the mushroom grove is right down on the ground and not in space.)
2) The original Anthem is now Okidesha’s intellect, meaning that she has slipped free of her original damned state. The current Anthem for all intents and purposes *is* the original Anthem, just run remotely (and with a new type of existential angst to worry about).
3) This is all excessively complicated for a comic I draw because I like seeing swordfights.
Actually, since you bring it up, I was curious about Anthem’s soul. Was it consumed by the lava goddess? Did it move on to the stars of death and sleep or to be tormented on Karrd? Or is it in her regenerated body? And on a different note is Nethruk dead now that Ecchune’s been destroyed?
Spirit honey and spirit wine is another matter altogether.
I feel badly in need of archive binge, not even remembering what the last chain is off the top of my head. Unfortunately I’m rereading the Wheel of Time right now.
Comics should be complicated because the world is complicated.
“Actually, since you bring it up, I was curious about Anthem’s soul. Was it consumed by the lava goddess?”
It is the lava goddess.
“And on a different note is Nethruk dead now that Ecchune’s been destroyed?”
Nethruk, god of prophecy and bicorns, is in hibernation until the Twin Horse Kings can forge the Winged Egg of Dreams and launch it into the heavens to serve as his new celestial habitation. Literally no part of that sentence will inform the current narrative, though, so don’t worry.

By soul, I assume you mean software. Else you should be more specific on how soul is distinguished from mind.

The last chain has yet to be revealed.

Though it is all Anthem’s fault.
