This is another set of panels that’s basically been in my head since I first got into comics, before I even had a context for it.
They never turn out as awesome as I hope, but this one looks pretty okay. I have yet to settle on a really great way for drawing speed-lines, though.
This just reaffirms my desire to see this entire comic as a movie.
I can’t think of a director that would do it justice, though.
There are scraps of WPK television script on this computer somewhere. I watched a lot of Babylon 5 as a kid and it’s still a big influence. Unfortunately, if Game of Thrones is causing production budgets to bleed out their eyes and nose, WPK would bankrupt so many TV stations that the economy would implode and we’d all have to go back to watching reruns of I Love Lucy and The Jeffersons.
One thing that the old Stan-and-Jack Fantastic Four taught me is that you should always remember that you don’t have a budget. That’s definitely my favorite part of making a comic.
You would probably have to make it an animation move rather than live action.
I actually was thinking it would be best as an animated film. Cel animated, of course.
