Tried to channel my inner Brandon Graham with the cityspace shot of Anuna, there.
I apparently do not have an inner Brandon Graham.
Oh, the helpful refresher of what we’re looking at: that statue is Queydoxx the Archimandrite, who owns half of Varaxunax’s soul. (Originally a smaller fraction, but two of the four co-owners are dead.) When Maresh captured Queydoxx, using one of the powers of his Boreal Scepter, he basically became the only thing standing between Varaxunax and being enslaved to Darumatha the Demon-Dragon.
Moving on.
So, in order to be freed, Varaxunax has to arrange for both of them to die at once? Or at least get ahold of the Boreal scepter and kill or imprison Darumatha with it.

More or less. And Vax probably can’t use the Boreal Scepter.
His situation is…well, I wouldn’t want to be in his situation.
