1) The boots are normal. (With the exception of Thrale’s drakeskin boots, I really only draw one type of boot!) Her bouncing and tumbling abilities have been demonstrated to a lesser or more constrained extent here (volume 3 page 3) and here (volume 9 page 38).
2) The mirror-image illusions on this page come from Vish, though the illusion that carried on a conversation with Turvin was Anthem’s. Previously, both had stuck with simple “glamors”—illusions that fit over a real object, like here (volume 6 page 32) and here (volume 11 page 7). However, you’ll notice that even at that point, Anthem has the ability to create freestanding abstract screens. Both have refined their techniques considerably, allowing for realistic, freestanding illusions.
3) Forgive my lack of actual links. I hate working in HTML without a preview button because one slip-up and the results are a mess.
4) Vish and Anthem have become quite a bit more potent in the past year. I try not to spend much time showing them just sitting around reading books, because it’s boring! But generally, their goddess, Ailari, covers several overlapping and (by human standards) contradictory themes, including sanctuary and protection, journeys and illusions, sex and celebration. Vish focuses mostly on protection; Anthem is working to refine her travel magic (the Ulenites and their Science are actually a major source of her studies!). Neither of them focuses on Ailari’s “sex goddess” angle, because they are nerdy bookworms.
Possibly helpful art-hint, while I’m rambling: green-white glows represent souls, and often demon-magic (which feeds on souls). Purple sparkles represent Ailari’s magic. Usually. I try to keep my glowing wubs consistent. 🙂
There’s a Naruto/shadow-clone joke in here somewhere but I think I’ll just enjoy the action.
When did Anthem get these crazy boots and illusion abilities?

One thing that hasn’t been established yet, does Varaxunax still have the powers from dead demons? Or is he now devastation-less?
