Lyca raises a nasty point here…Okidesha’s got chaos or change as one of her themes right?
Sooo unbinding her’s going to seriously change the game, and not always in a good way. Considering the Chuni library, I suspect that it’s the case that the Chuni doesn’t wanna move unless she can make contingency plans about what comes next…And I don’t blame her.
We don’t know how powerful Barrabon’s forces are, but he’s been a player against the inn for the entire story. I’ve gotten the impression that the inn’s slowly getting more strained keeping their goals going and stopping Barrabon, and that they’ve only stopped him so far by being a step ahead, as it were. If they end up fighting on an even keel though…But who knows, I’ve said before that I don’t get the flow of the story.
Ooh. I smelled a showdown between Gilgam and Corva as soon as Corva entered the room. This will be good.
Also, kudos on the shift in dynamic of Lyca going from crazy to sane. It says a lot about the power of those masks, that she can keep calm and level-headed even when somebody is yelling at her and towering over her. She went from being a cowering damsel-in-distress type to being one of the group’s main sanity anchors. It will be interesting to see her interact with the others in the group.
Well, at least Lyca has a good reason not to want to help her.
