Not satisfied with the flow of this page’s word balloons.
I’m currently trapped in Wisconsin for a week, which means this is the first of the front-loaded, pre-completed pages that I worked on during my Christmas “break” (which wasn’t a break, because I knew I’d be away from my tablet for at least five days). I’ve been checking the pages over and I can’t find anything wrong with them, which is good because if I make a mistake, there’ll be no way to fix them until some time next week!
Yes, Anthem is her own secretary, thank you very much.
Two things: I really like the line “We yield to the chuni’s superior capacity for violence,” and I never realized just how *short* Anthem is. Her height makes sense, of course, but I found it surprising because I can’t remember ever seeing her in a panel like the second-to-last one here, where everybody is all lined up in a row.
” I never realized just how *short* Anthem is.”
Yeah, she’s puny. She’s actually a little *too* short in that shot–she’s 4’11” or so right now, which is small but not outrageous for a sixteen-year-old girl. Also, Smay, Corva, and Lyca are all tall women–approaching six feet. Getting heights to line up properly, though, is not one of my top skills.
Oh man, I’m on a laptop and I’ve totally forgotten how to log into my site because it’s done automatically from my main computer. Time to figure that out!
…Ok, I really could use an explanation about this: What good does that mask do for Lyca again exactly?
“…Ok, I really could use an explanation about this: What good does that mask do for Lyca again exactly?”
It hasn’t been made explicit. Don’t worry–you didn’t miss anything vital.
It makes her sane.
I’m thinking it might have the same principle as Anthem’s little rings, maybe?
