This is the most deliberately “cinematic” chapter I’ve ever written, and its pacing is derived more from Ellis, as I’ve mentioned, than my usual inspiration, Alan Moore. Moore is a comic writer for comics and seems to shape everything he writes to fit the medium; Ellis, by contrast, pulls from movies and television a lot more often. The way I write my comics has definitely changed since I first started WPK three years ago.
Well, it is his possible death.
