This whole chapter is basically a reaction to something the comic writer Warren Ellis said in the back of one of his issues of Fell: he loves interrogations, and he would write interrogations all day–just two people in a room–if it didn’t mean the artist would kill him out of boredom. I decided to see how many ways I could draw two people in a room without just drawing two people in a room. The answer: out of control double-frame stories!
