What the heck is Anthem going to summon and why not use Lyca’s stone-morphing magick. I guess that if you can morph any stone, you can morph anything mineral: metal, and what not, right? After all stone is just a generic name for naturally occurring mineral composites, right?

Sadly, no, the WPK universe raises the middle finger both to Copernicus and Mendeleev.
Theoretically, Lyca might be able to reshape the rock cliffs around them to catch/steady the falling ship if she were strong enough in stone-morphing, but that’s a LOT of rock to affect in a very short time.
