“Looks like his chest piece is some odd fridge full of colorful magnets of all sizes.”
Ha, actually, I wanted to talk about that as it relates to my previous ramblings about inking (and my own inky inexperience). Those are supposed to be crystals, and if there’s one thing I’ve noticed about good inkers is that they’re really good at drawing translucent, transparent, and reflective surfaces. They can convey “diamond, princess-cut” or “amber, cabochon” with a few deft flicks of the pen. By contrast, if it weren’t for Photoshop’s “Make It Look Shiny” button, I wouldn’t be able to distinguish gold from grass.
Well, they look like letters (X, C) and we have letter-shaped magnets in my home’s fridge.
As for your art, well… it’s clear that you are not the best one drawing but your story is very rich in fantasy, very original and you manage to tell it in a quite interesting way. In other words: this story would really benefit quite a bit from a better graphic artist but guess it’s alright as it is.
I’m also very bad at drawing, so I can’t really complain. In fact I do admire the dedication that creating this universe and drawing it above all difficulties and even posting a new page regularly, week after week, entrails.
Well, Shreyas is looking great, and that’s all that really counts. =D
Oh. That guy.
Looks like his chest piece is some odd fridge full of colorful magnets of all sizes. XD
