If I had my way, I’d keep Anthem in those goggles forever.
Wait, I can have my way. But it’s still not a very good idea. Still, those things are awesome.
Happy 4th to my American readers. Try not to blow your fingers off. I’m on vacation for the rest of the week, and while WPK has a buffer–there will be no interruption–I won’t be online for several days.
So what is Anthem saying (do not reply if it’s going to be explained in the next update): that people who cross Yamra’s “failed” teleport device go to the stars and die but that way the stars also go (or otherwise affect) to the final destination which is the blade?
That’s evil brilliant! If you can’t control a technology use the chaos side of it. Someone as evil as Yamra would not mind some thousands of victims, nor some solar systems destroyed either.
And I must agree that the googles are very cool. 🙂
I think it’s more based on the theory that Malice is basically a failed portal, and thus you see what is supposed to be on the other end of it through the blade (not really stars, just a reflection of the final “destination”). The problem of course is in that bits and peices bit.
Malice doesn’t cut through people, it just teleports (and in the process, tears apart) a line the width of the blade of whatever it passes through into space. Which is usually fatal, considering you can’t live without part of your lung, or some of your blood viens… Armor would also mostly be useless cause it’ll just teleport that, too.
I just feel sorry for anyone that tries to fly through that part of space, as through the years of use it’s probably getting kinda crowded with bits and pieces of people…
Mind you the bits and pieces of people and armor are very thin. Probably no more dangerous than the odd space rocks and debris scattered between the stars. Of course this is a universe where aliens grow jewels in their skin so the rules could be different.
