Ever wonder why I draw so many damn books? Because this is what I stare at all day while I draw.
At least it’s not a blank white wall. I think staring at blank white walls correlates strongly with plots about amnesia and protagonists getting knocked out from behind.
Maybe we should turn your desk to face the window.
Wait, whut? The capture-box is real?
Yes it is, and it holds dice and tiny pewter wizards.
The Boreal Scepter is, of course, a salt-shaker at my Aunt Linda’s house. (No.)
LOL (actually that could make a pretty funny plot, if someone hasn’t done it already: ancient dread artifact of power an unrecognized household heirloom being used in the kitchen…)
HAH! I love it. The Immortal Vessel of Fated Destiny being used as, like, a bud vase. But you have to clean out the old Canadian coins, a few extra screws that might come in handy some day, a sticky old werther’s.
Back when Granny was a kid they used it for a cruet. But these days everyone buys salad dressing at the store…
Wapsi Square has had at least one house hold item/ancient artifact of power that i can remember http://wapsisquare.com/comic/akindofkey/ Another good comic worth reading from the beginning if you have the time. I’m fairly sure other comics that deal with magic have used the plot as you never really know the history of that thing-a-ma-jig over there in the corner 😉
