This page was a bear. It took me all weekend just to ink it, since the foregrounds and backgrounds were handled on two separate inking layers–something I usually try to avoid doing. I’m trying to figure out how to draw happy little trees in the style of Bob Ross, and one thing is clear: I’ll need to get away from conventional Photoshop layering.
It’s really beautiful and your effort shows. The misty quality of this new different terrain really comes through.
Yeah, happy little trees don’t go happily onto layers. But Bob Ross didn’t have to draw the same happy little trees from 4 different angles, 3 times a week.
A non-art note: I like the fact that their efforts at stealth have a problem that has nothing to do with their execution.
