Anthem is one of those people who doesn’t really know how to swear.
I gotta say, there’s a certain idiot thrill in just drawing big heaps of blood and gore everywhere. I didn’t read comics as a teenager, or even draw: I stopped drawing at the appointed time in our culture, around age eleven, and picked it up again in 2006 for reasons that are still hazy to me, so I missed the whole “drawing Spawn ripping dudes in half over and over again” phase. Nonetheless I remember being the sort of teenage boy who would really, unironically enjoy gruesome mayhem, and I enjoy all this reckless violence.
