A while ago I was reading that funny scenes are flat toward the camera (or in the case of a comic, the “camera”) while dramatic scenes feature more depth. I don’t know if it’s true, but I’ve been messing around with more foreground/background action in dramatic scenes. The result, it seems to me, is that people seem to get randomly bigger or smaller. Sorry about that.
